Open – A Flash Fiction

Flash Fiction: Open

I opened my door, my home and my heart to him, only to be betrayed in the most painful way possible.
How could he tear apart the love and devotion, which I only have given him, no other, with such depth and trust?
Since the moment of revelation, I ached with a pain, that should not be possible to feel, one that froze my every move.
Tears held back, forced back by a smile, I waited for him to come home.
And was given the sweet opportunity to plunge the knife into his chest with such powerful force, that it broke into pieces.

Winter Holiday – A Haiku

Winter Holiday - A Haiku

twinkle in their eyes
cold winter celebrations
sweet magic abounds

This post was inspired by the Daily Post prompt: Getting Seasonal.

This season is special to me out of many reason. A few, I want to mention here are my daughter’s and son’s birthdays, and our Yule celebrations, which all fall together within a matter of a week and a half. So while hectic, it is a beautiful time to share and spend time together. I am currently drying some apples and oranges for the table decorations for the Winter Solstice celebration, and will purchase the last few candles needed to be put on the altar.

I wish you all a joyful and peaceful holiday season, however you choose to celebrate it!

Halloween – A Poem

halloween1

Halloween

Danger lurking in the street
Shadows you will never meet

Until the wrong turn in the night
Shapes fun into a frightful sight

Of bloody mayhem, torn apart
Mangled pieces of a heart

The spirits left to haunt the space
Float amongst us without grace

And merge with living souls to play
Creating terror on this day.
