Hi, and welcome back. I am sharing with you today the letter Y of our tea leaf reading symbol dictionary. I hope you had fun during this series and learned a lot about tea and tea leaf reading. As I mentioned yesterday, I am working on a book about the subject, and will share with you more information about that soon.

Yew Tree: Someone is leaving you an unexpected help or fortune. A better position is offered to you.

V Is For Variety – Tea Leaf Reading Symbol Dictionary

Hi there, thanks for being back.

When practicing Tasseomancy or Tea Leaf Reading, you should experiment with the variety of teas you use that work best for you and the one you read for. Keep in mind that some teas create a stimulating experience, while others are calming. I suggest, as a practitioner, and someone who has read for quite a few people, that you should gage the person you are reading for before you choose your tea. Is the person agitated, give them a calming tea, do they look defeated, give them some energy. Always have a variety of teas available. Over the last few weeks, we have spoken extensively about the different types of teas, so feel free to visit those posts again, and compile a list of teas that work the best for you.

Here are today’s tea leaf reading symbols:

Letter V:

Van: Whatever you have been trying out, will work in your favor

Vase: A symbol of overall good health

Vegetables: After the current trouble ends, more pleasant times are on their way

Violin: A positive sign – if you are a musician it speaks of success in your niche.

Vulture: You have received a warning. Be wary, and be cautious in the proceeding. Also, can mean a more overall negative situation in your country or location

Reading Tea Leaves and Coffee – Letter U

We have been talking about reading tea leaves for almost a month now.

But how does one read coffee?

Reading coffee grounds is the same concept than reading tea leaves. You drink the coffee and read the grounds left on the
bottom of the cup. Reading coffee cream is different. while you can now use any colorful or decorated cup, with a handle,
and are no longer in need of a saucer, I prefer to use two specific tools – a special cup, I dedicate only for the purpose
of reading coffee cream, and  a teaspoon that is only used for the purpose of placing the “Wolke”, the cream cloud into the  center of the cup.
The process is rather simple. Gently place the heavy cream into the center of the cup that is filled with black coffee and DO NOT STIR! Allow the cloud take shape in front of your eyes, and notices where it travels, does it travel closer to the handle (representing you and now), or does it travel farther away from the handle (representing others, and another time). If the cloud travels in a clockwise direction, your reading concerns your future, counter-clockwise it represents the past.

The symbols are the same as for tea leaf reading, and should be read as such. For those of you who are vegan or can not
use dairy in their diet, you can substitute full-fat coconut cream for the heavy cream. (this is not the time to think
about your diet).

Now it is time for our symbols.

Letter U:

An Ugly Face: Unpleasant news

Umbrella: Depends on if it is open or closed: An open umbrella speaks literally about bad weather while a close umbrella speaks about a situation – this situation is not pleasant, but can be avoided if you pay attention beginning right now.

Unicorn: You might find yourself in the middle of unwanted drama

Urn: Check your health – unless there is a symbol indicating another person, then check their health

Interesting, isn’t it?

To brew the coffee for coffee cream readings, I prefer to use the over the cup cone dripping method. It is individual
and gives me time to clear my mind of distractions before reading the cream.

My favorite cone is the Oishii Pour Over Coffee Dripper. I love the fact that it does not allow any grounds to come through, despite the fact that it does not need an extra paper filter. So it is good for the reduction of garbage and makes a smooth cup of coffee. It is easy to clean – just rinse and wipe – and is small enough to store out of the way. Very stable, it sits comfortably upon a regular size mug as well as a wide mouthed, smaller cup. Great for the fresh cup of coffee in the morning, or to take with you in an office, that does not have a coffee machine (there is supposed be to such a thing, I have heard – the horror).

Today’s tea leaf reading letter is T! What a great way to end the week (remember there will be no A to Z Challenge post on Sunday).

Letter T:

Table:  this symbol speaks of a consolation you are giving or have been given. Take a close look at the signs around it, to get more details about that consultation

Tea Cup with Saucer: A pleasant conversation is about to occur, trust your intuition as you are about to hear a very positive “fortune”, that works out in your favor.

Tennis Net: Enjoyable connection via activities

Telephone: Pay attention to your forgetfulness, it can get you into trouble

Toads: Symbols of deceit. Someone is trying to hide information from you. This is a sign of an intent of harm against you (not physical but in the area of reputation)

Tongue: You have said some hurtful words in the past, and you should heed to make them right, and ask for forgiveness.

Torch: a positive and hopeful symbol that speaks of bringing light upon a subject that has bothered you before. Unexpected fortune and fame can also be on its way. Things are about to change

Tunnel:  you are about to make a decision that is not wise

Letter O

Oaktree: symbol of strength and endurance. A powerful and positive symbol that speaks of strong relationships, wealth, and achievement. A prosper and abundant marriage

Oil-Can: You are worried and concerned about something

Onions: Hidden beneath some layers are secrets that need to be revealed. These secrets will bring some discomfort and sorrow.

Organ: Not a symbol that reads well on its own. Musicians will find this a positive sign, as it speaks of achievement in their field.

Owl: This is an unfortunate symbol. Do not expect any positive movement forward at this time. If the owl is flying grief is involved. Someone is speaking ill behind your back. If you are asking about a upcoming change, this symbol is a warning to be careful as you proceed.

Ox: Your house and home is filled with abundance and domestic bliss.

Welcome to the last letter for this week. I am closing out this week of Tea Leaf Reading Symbols with the Letter N. And because it is time for N, I thought it would be a great time to talk about Nettle Tea, made from the leaves of Stinging Nettle

Letter N:

Nail: Have your teeth checked, and taken care off. Upcoming dental problems

Necklace: money or valuable presents are on their way. If the necklaces is broken, a treasured bond to a broken one

Needles: A disappointing sign relating to relationships. There is deceit or malleus involved.

Nose: Pay attention to size of the nose: Large noses indicate problems with alcohol, and excess partying. Money troubles. Thin nose: you change your ideas about a subject you were sure about.

Nun: To single people – you will lead an unmarried life. To married people: Your mistrust is unfounded.

Nuts: symbol of wealth and success

Meditation, Mindfulness And The Letter M: A to Z Blogging Challenge: Tea Leaf Reading Symbols

Today, I want to show you how tea can become a part of a mindfulness and meditation practice. Tea ceremonies and rituals are a form of this meditation, but they do not have to be as elaborate as these. A simple, yet effective tea meditation is shown in the video below:

Letter M:

Magnet: An attraction that is to the point of irresistibility toward someone – but they will not be a good match

Magnifying Glass: Stop exaggeration the situations. You are drawn to and create drama. A bad habit that needs to be dropped.

Maltese Cross: A continued struggle, going from one place or situation of trouble, to the next situation or place that is just as much trouble.

Man: An unexpected visitor

Mask: there are some unknown factors that are about to be known to you. None of these factors will be pleasant so be prepared.

Meat: financial worry and trouble

Medal: A well-deserved reward is coming your way

Mice: someone is stealing from you. Watch your possessions.

Monk: spiritual upset or quarrel of some kind

A to Z Challenge: Tea Leaf Reading Symbols – Letter K

Do you know the origin of iced tea?  According to legend, Richard Blechynden, an enterprising English merchant, was put in charge of the tea pavilion during the St. Louis Fair, in 1904 . Unfortunately, in planning for the Fair, he never considered the potential impact of weather. When Mother Nature produced a blistering summer day, cups of hot tea were not a popular item with the fairgoers. Exhausted and desperate to showcase his product, Blechynden tried serving the tea cold in glasses filled with ice. The scheme was an instant success, and iced tea was born.

If you are a fan of iced tea, you should try this variation of the classic iced drink. Enjoy!

Refreshing Citrus Green Iced Tea

2 cups of prepared green tea 

3 tablespoons of honey or your favorite sweetener

500 ml (2 cups) of fresh squeezed Grapefruit juice 

A sprig of fresh lemon balm to garnish – if desired 

Ice cubes 

 

Sweeten the prepared green tea with honey, and allow to cool completely. Add the grapefruit juice to the tea in a large pitcher. Add ice cubes to 4 tall glasses, and fill with tea. Top with a little piece of lemon balm if desired. Serve immediately. A variation of this that works well is using orange juice instead of grapefruit. 

Let’s get back to our Tea Leaf Reading Dictionary! Today’s letter is the letter K!

Letter K:

Kettle: Health problems may be on the horizon. Also a sign of possible other trouble being on the way. Be cautious

Keyhole: You have someone untrustworthy around you. Watch your back

King on a Throne: Steadfastness, security, and overall peace. A sign that there is a potential promotion to a high value position in the works.

Knives: One knife indicates a sign of unpleasantness while multiple knives indicate deeper danger that needs to be watched out for. Not necessarily of the physical kind, this could also indicate a financial disaster or a personal one.

A to Z Blogging Challenge: Tea Leaf Reading Dictionary “J”

Hi and welcome back!

Today, I want to share with you a Chai Tea recipe that is my favorite. While chai tea is widely available in tea bags, there is nothing better than the home made variety. Also, you can adjust the ratio of the ingredients to fit your needs, once you got a feel for the base recipe.

Chai Tea Recipe: (for one pot of tea)

6 cups of water

4 cups of milk

6 cardamon seeds

4 pieces of cloves

1 tablespoon of fennel seeds

1 tablespoon of anise

1 cinnamon stick

½ teaspoon of freshly minced ginger

4 tablespoons of your favorite loose black tea

6 tablespoons of honey

Place all ingredients, except milk and tea into a pot and slowly heat it to simmer. Allow it to simmer for 10 minutes. Add the milk and softly simmer the mixture for another 5 minutes. Add the black tea, allow it to come to a boil, remove from heat, and allow the mixture to steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Strain through a “screen”, and sweeten as desired. Serve hot.

A wonderful variety of this tea (which I prefer for breakfast), is to make it with green tea. Follow the same instructions, but allow the green tea to steep for 3 minutes only.

Time to get back to the Tea Leaf Reading Dictionary! Today’s letter J was not very easy to compile. There happens to be not too many symbols that begin with this letter. Here are the two that I found:

Letter J:

Jam: this symbol cautions you not to waste your resources and time. Don’t make any over the top decisions or spending ventures. Be conservative for the time being.

Jug: A good sign that indicated health, and overall well-being. Also a financial good omen.

Tea Leaf Reading Symbols “I”: An April A to Z Blogging Challenge Post

Hi and welcome back to another week of the A to Z Challenge. While green and black tea are widely known, it’s cousin the white tea sometimes gets ignored. Ivy: This plant is a symbol of patience and long-lasting endeavor. A steady path filled with long lasting prosperity and deep, meaningful friendship are an additional meaning of this.
