The Watcher – A Dark Fantasy Flash Story

These walls were his temporary domain.

Sure, it was nothing fancy, at least not when it came to the comfort level, and the constant day-time traffic of spoiled children, bored parents, and a few actually interested fellas, which did make it hard to let loose.

So he lurked around corners, watching, observing these silly creatures, that called themselves advanced, intelligent and in charge. None of that, was their true nature.

They were none of what their ego portrayed them to be, the illusion of grandeur, advanced creation of a deity, they so often worshiped in the paintings, that lined the walls, of this large building they called a museum.

But in truth, those images only reflected the pathetic creations they really where. Filled with hatred for those of difference, perusing conquests, creating war and destruction.

He saw their darkness, yet hid in their presence, patience, superior to those whom he observed and shared the space with, day in and day out.

For now.

Watching, learning, plotting.
A temporary situation, for the right time, his time, would soon arrive.

The time to reveal to those before him, how insignificant they really were.

I Begged You – A Flash Fiction Horror Story

 Flash Fiction: I Begged You

I originally posted this little dark story on my previous blog – enjoy!
“I begged you to stay with me.
I pleaded, promised, swore to give you everything you wanted.
I was at my best, not that I am not mostly my best, but I went further in my request for you to stay with me. I did everything I could think of, even some things I could not think of on my own.
On my quest to convince you, I went on the internet, borrowed relationship books from the library, spoke with family and friends.
I took their advice, I applied it.
I worshiped your every step.
I begged you to stay with me.Your response what not what I expected.

But I am sure you did not expect how I would handle it.
I am sure of that, I made sure of that.
You see, I have never allowed you to see what I am capable off, not wanting to scare you and all. Oh, I did scare you a  little before, but just a little. I did let you see me follow you, send you flowers in places you did not think I knew you went to.
That was the fun little scare.
An exiting scare.
Foreplay.

Still, you did not know what I could do to you.
Because you also did not know one of the most important things about me.
No one tells me no.
No one does, not even you.
It does not matter how much you begged me at the end, because I know another secret, that you had to learn the hard way.

If I can’t have you, no one can.”

The Becoming – A Flash Fiction Fantasy

The Becoming - A Flash Fiction Fantasy

The changes where subtle at first, almost not noticeable, and for a while she thought she was just imaging things. She had always been an imaginative person, so it was easy to come to this conclusion, to pretend the truth away.
The tingling in her left hand should have been an indication, but not enough to make her to make a connection. Of course, she remembered the warning of the old woman,  but who listened to old women anyway? Rarely anyone of her tender age, even less so if that older woman looked as crazy in black as that one had.
She should have listened.
The mumbling of merging and destiny where vague, while the mixture, of fear and awe on that hags eyes were burned into her soul.
She should have listened to the instructions, on how to deal with the increasing stiffness, and how to control the merging,
Strangely, it did not hurt, there was no pain, no discomfort, but a cooling sensation as her left arm, slowly became “something else”.
She smiled, interestingly void of fear, the crystal within her growing, becoming her, merging with her, increasingly becoming One.

Broken – A Dark Flash Fiction

the-gate-of-le-chateau

“You are asking me to give up my what?”
“Everything and anything that is associated with the world of the devil. Headphones, I pods, you know, all of the things you have accumulated, and that has led us to the despair so far.”
“You seriously are trying to get me to believe that the reason you and Dad had problems, is because of modern technology. I can’t believe you bought into this shit!”
“Daniella, watch your language!” The woman in a long black skirt drew a deep breath. “No one expects you to move from the world of the devil to the world of salvation without doubts. That is a part of the growth one has to experience. Father Thomas..”

“Father Thomas? That dude wants your money, the money you and Dad made in this world you call ‘of the devil’. How in the hell did you get so brainwashed? I was only gone for three months!”

She smiled at her daughter .”We always have been seeking salvation, and he has given us the answers.”

“Oh, bullshit! I am going back to LA, I only got a week until classes start again.”
“You are not leaving!” There was panic in the older woman’s voice.

“Oh, yeah?Watch me.  I am leaving. I am 19, Mom. Luckily Grandpa’s trust pays for my expenses. He was smart enough to leave me his fortune, now I know why.”

She paused, as the realization of her mother’s reasoning became clear. “He talked you into bringing me here, didn’t he? He thought you could force me to join his flock, give him access to my trust fund. You seriously thought I would do that? That is my future Mom, my way through medical school. Grandpa worked his rear end off to make sure, I could do anything I wanted, while you had your head in the clouds with all that religious nonsense, moving from one guru to the next.”

“Father Thomas is different.”
“Yeah, he is trying to milk you completely dry. I can’t believe Dad does not have the balls to stand up to you!”
“Seriously young lady…”
“Call me when you left this cult, you know where to find me.”

Danielle turned swiftly, rushing toward her hybrid, stumbling over the protruding roots to get away from this madness, but also to not allow her mother to see the tears that she could no longer hold back from streaming down her face.
