R.I.P Dr. Wayne Dyer – You Will Be Missed

The first introduction to PBS television (and American television in general), when I came to this country,  were the hour-long presentations to raise money for the channel. A warm, comforting individual named Dr. Wayne Dyer spoke to me from the screen, while I tried to adjust to a life in the US.  He left this plane of existence, yesterday.

Via books like Change Your Thoughts – Change Your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao
and meditation collections, such as I AM Wishes Fulfilled Meditation
he continues to live on within the message of self-realization and positive living that Making “new age” thought mainstream, he insisted that we begin to look at the world differently, and everything around us would change.
But, I am by far not as eloquent with words than he was, so I am sharing with you this video of one of his many presentations and events, he held all over the world.

I am honored to have heard his message. May his family find peace in this trying time.

Celebrate The Small Things – Las Vegas Edition

;

I am happy to back blogging, and to be joining you all in this weeks “Celebrate The Small Things” Blog Hop, hosted by the wonderful Lexa Cain.

We finally completed  our move to Las Vegas, which was not just relocating ourselves but our entire business, and as you can expect that took some time, especially considering that we are also in the midst of expanding. So I am grateful to be sitting in my apartment (albeit small) typing this post and connecting with you all. Thank you for all of the encouraging words and well wishes we received since we announced our move, and throughout it. This meant a lot to all of us.

I am also grateful that the pets (two dogs and the cat) did well on the trip from Tampa to Las Vegas. We drove, so this took a while, but they all adjusted fine to the trip, and are now comfortably resting in our new place.

The people in our neighborhood are very friendly, so that is also wonderful. I am grateful for everyone greeting each other, as well as for the some short conversations I had with fellow dog owners. Our place has a special pet court yard which has grass (a luxury in the middle of the desert), and there is a dog park within two minutes walking distance (thank you to the neighbor who pointed that out to me)

It’s almost fall time, and I am so grateful that I can switch my attention from summer decor to fall decorations. I am launching my home decor and lifestyle blog within the next few days, and I am looking forward to sharing some of the beautiful finds, I have already run across (and of course I had to purchase some of them, I just can not help myself).

Hopefully all of you also had a great week! It will be fun reading what you guys wrote, and if you have not joined in with this group of wonderful bloggers, but would like to, just follow this link and add your blog to the list!

Till next week!

This post was inspired by today’s Daily Prompt: Enough is Enough, but instead of writing about giving up, I wanted to write about going on, despite failure, and obstacles. Fight for your dreams!

Passion

Passion - A Daily Prompt Post

How you know if you’re passion is to be a writer:

Answer the following question:

If money and time was not an option, meaning you had plenty of all, and all of your worries are taken care off, what would you do with your time?

If your answer is writing, stick with it. Make time, forge time, take a set time where you pretend that all of the money in the world is yours, and there are no other chores waiting for you and WRITE!

If you answer is something else, find a way to make that your life goal.

The Magic by Rhonda Byrnes – A Review

The Magic - A Book Review

Title: The Magic

Author: Rhonda Byrnes

Publisher: Atria

Rating: 5/5 Stars

Gratitude, the practice of true gratitude, not a simple uttering of thank you’s, but a deep emotional connection to the subject matter can have a profound effect on a life. True gratitude reduces stress, allows us to focus on the abundance that is already in our lives, and gives us a chance to let go off fear. From this state of gratitude we can heal, we can attract, we can experience more to be grateful for.

The Magic by Rhonda Byrnes (the author of The Secret) holds within it a vast variety of techniques and themes that help us focus our gratitude, and allows the reader to make it a daily practice. Set in daily assignments, that are easy to follow, yet profound, this book asks you to practice, not just read your way through.

I highly recommend this book, even more so than the Secret, because it contains the true key to using it in the first place. Finding a place of gratitude brings happiness, no matter where you are at the moment, or at least a moment of peace, from which the reader can attract more. If you are interesting working with Law of Attraction, this is where you need to start – not with all of the principles, the quotes and promises, but with it’s most important principle – Gratitude.
