Holding Onto Hope – A Poem

hope (1)

the sound of a fight
echoes through the dreary house
no longer refuge

from where can I steal
a little sense of peace, lost
somewhere in the dark

Forgive Me – A Poem

break-the-chains

I wish I could give
you the trust you deserve, but
echoes of the past

have a hold on my
heart, chains not yet broken by
the warmth of your love

Tarot – A Poem

tarot
 seeking answers in
cryptic places, hidden symbols
longing to be freed
do I dare follow
the words flowing through the cards
or close my eyes to
the strong call to dare
breaking out of the box which
once defined my life?

Making Peace With Myself – A Poem

Vunerable by Marlies Odenhal

Vulnerable by Marlies Odenhal

I used to hate you
that part of me, weak, exposed
like an open nerve

raw, vulnerable, in pain
disgusted by the torture
linked to twisted acts

of a sad, sick mind
but in the healing love of
another, I found

 peace

Hustle – A Haiku

bloody knuckles in
the midst of hustle to gain
ground – fight for your dream

This post was inspired by today’s Daily Prompt: Enough is Enough, but instead of writing about giving up, I wanted to write about going on, despite failure, and obstacles. Fight for your dreams!
