When Life Gives You Spotty Internet Connection – Read

When Life Gives YouSpotty Internet Connection - Read

Sometimes we make plans and what happens after that is a completely different story. Today, my plan included working some on designs and posting Reiki and Yoga items on social media, my facebook page, and maybe even here.
Instead none of my programs loaded properly, so instead of fighting and getting mad, I decided to go with the flow and find out what other – more peaceful and stress-free – tasks I can accomplish today.

Then I remembered that I have quite a few business books I have to go through in the next few weeks, and because there is no better time for action than now, I will spend a couple of hours reading what I desperately need to know anyway.

Which brings me to the list of things I am thankful and cheerful for:

1. A chance to catch up on important reading materials
2. A warm and comfortable place to do so
3. Strong enough internet connection to write this blog post and connect with all of you
4. The knowledge that if things do not go my way, there are other ways to be productive

Now let me ask you this:
How do you deal with situations that do not go exactly as planned? Do you allow frustration to grow and ruin the rest of your day, or do you try to make the best of it? I would love to hear your thoughts, leave them in the comment section.

  1. I grew up with the “everything happens for a reason” so it might seem bad and is frustrating but probably saved you from something or will create an opportunity somewhere else. I used to be frustrated when things did not go as planned, but over recent months I have considered that maybe sometimes that plan is meant to change.

  2. As a “serial” planner. I really struggled with an invasion to my carefully thought out plans. It is only with God’s help that I now have more peace when things go off track. Yes, I still struggle with being bothered and sometimes annoyed but I am learning to focus on what I can control and leaving everything else to God.Thanks for sharing your thought. May god bless you and yours!

  3. Love your attitude – i’m more go with the flow when I’ve had a good night’s sleep, I have to admit. blessings! sue

  4. Oh my gosh! Yesterday was such a trying day for me, the things that I had planned out on my to do list did not work out. I was in tears because I was so frustrated. I certainly need to find more a more productive way of handling myself when things don’t go as planned. I really admire that you were able to achieve other tasks.

  5. Occasionally I still struggle when things don’t go the “proper” way. But after many bitter experiences I found that what I consider “proper” is not necessarily correct and appropriate depending on the situation and context. I believe that my inner woman wishes things that sometimes I miss due to brain noise and she attracts them regardless. If I catch myself whining, moaning, and whatnot I simply stop and smile. No self-abuse or self-judgement there. As a result I am very adaptable and easy going. Easily pleased too. 😀

  6. I guess because I am old, I have learned to adjust to plans having to change. Just have to have a back up plan. The computer does make one’s plans change quite often. But you just have to go with the flow. Good to meet you and thanks for visiting our blog.

  7. Over the years, I’ve learned to go with the flow. It’s not worth the effort to sit and stew over things that didn’t go according to plan. I giggled at #3 we have slow as a snail internet because we live in the middle of nowhere. Thank you for sharing about and linking up to Thankful Thursdays.

  8. PepiSmartDog: we can relate! We are vacationing and have very spotty internet right now. *points to new bald spots on mom’s head where she ripped hair out* Hee hee! She also just git 50 new mosquito bites too – cause the only way the wifi will work is if she sits outside. ROCLMAO.

(PS: Pepi’s mom Michele speaking: we had to post in my name because WP would not let Pepi leave a comment…after about 50 attempts. Think its cause we are traveling and using our laptop instead of usual iMac. )
